After the tables, an Exit-Method Classification groups every leader by how they left — died, resigned, dismissed, overthrown, disqualified, voted out — which is the fastest way to memorize the pattern rather than the dates alone.

Exit-Method Classification (memorize by pattern, not just dates)

Died in office: Jinnah (GG, natural death 1948); Zia-ul-Haq (President, plane crash 1988).
Assassinated: Liaquat Ali Khan (PM, 1951). (Benazir Bhutto was assassinated in 2007 while campaigning as opposition leader — she was not the sitting PM at the time.)
Overthrown by military coup: Iskander Mirza (President, by Ayub Khan, 1958); Zulfikar Ali Bhutto (PM, by Zia-ul-Haq, 1977); Nawaz Sharif's 2nd term (PM, by Musharraf, 1999) — the 3 classic "coup against a sitting leader" cases. (Ayub's 1969 handover to Yahya was an unconstitutional but intra-military transfer, not a coup against Ayub himself.)
Dismissed by President/Governor-General using discretionary or Article 58(2)(b) power: Nazimuddin (PM, 1953, pre-58(2)(b) discretionary GG power); Junejo (1988); Benazir Bhutto's 1st term (1990); Nawaz Sharif's 1st term (1993); Benazir Bhutto's 2nd term (1996) — 4 of these 5 used Article 58(2)(b) specifically (added by the 8th Amendment, 1985; repealed by the 13th Amendment, 1997).
Disqualified/removed by the courts: Yousaf Raza Gillani (2012, contempt of court); Nawaz Sharif's 3rd term (2017, Panama Papers case) — judicial rather than military or presidential removal.
Removed via no-confidence vote in Parliament: Imran Khan (2022) — the only PM removed this way to date.
Resigned under political/institutional pressure (not formally dismissed): Ghulam Muhammad (GG, ill health); Ayub Khan (President, mass protests); Yahya Khan (President, war defeat); Ghulam Ishaq Khan (President, army-brokered deal); Farooq Leghari (President, judiciary stand-off); Pervez Musharraf (President, threatened impeachment); Chaudhry Muhammad Ali, Suhrawardy, Chundrigar, Jamali, Shujaat Hussain (PMs, coalition collapse or establishment pressure).
