Din answers the fundamental question of why man exists, supplies an objective moral compass, and regulates every sphere of individual and collective life.

— Surah Adh-Dhariyat 51:56

English: "The world and all that is in it is cursed [i.e. of no lasting worth], except the remembrance of Allah and what leads to it, and a scholar or a seeker of knowledge."
— Sunan al-Tirmidhi 2322
Fiqh note: "Farz Kifayah" is a juristic classification, not a directly quoted Hadith text. Its classical scriptural anchor is:
English: "It is not for the believers to go forth [to battle] all together. Of every division that remains behind, a group should go forth that they may gain understanding in the religion..."
— Surah At-Tawbah 9:122 (jurists derived the Farz Kifayah principle from this verse and from cases such as the funeral prayer; "Farz Kifayah" itself is later fiqh terminology, not a Hadith wording)

Dīn answers the questions that science, law and economics are structurally incapable of answering: why human beings exist, why they are obliged to be moral, and to whom they are finally answerable. Science describes what is; law prescribes what is enforceable; neither can establish what ought to be binding when enforcement is absent. Dīn supplies purpose, moral authority and accountability — and without those three, social order rests ultimately on power rather than on obligation.
