Social System

Political System

• Ultimate sovereignty (Hakimiyyah) belongs to Allah, exercised through the community's vicegerency (Khilafah) bound by the Shariah.
• Shura-based and Bay'ah (consent)-based leadership.
• Separation of the judiciary from executive influence.
• Rule of law binding equally on rulers and ruled.

Economic System

• Private property permitted within ethical limits.
• Prohibition of Riba (interest, 2:275), Gharar (excessive uncertainty) and hoarding (Ihtikar).
• Obligatory Zakah for wealth redistribution.
• Risk/profit-sharing contracts (Mudarabah, Musharakah, Ijarah) in place of guaranteed interest.
• Balance between individual enterprise and social welfare through Bait-ul-Mal.

Judicial System

• Justice ('Adl) as an absolute value applying equally to ruler and ruled.
• Independent judiciary (Qada).
